Student Matinee Series FAQs

Who can attend the Student Matinee Series?

The Student Matinee Series is best suited for students  preschool through 12th grade and their teachers. Each performance lasts about an hour and is especially designed for students.

How do I order tickets?

Please fill out the Ticket Request Form and we will contact you within 3 business days to confirm your request.

How can I pay for tickets?

We are happy to accept a variety of payment methods such as a purchase order from your company/school or a check. In addition, you can pay with a credit card by calling the box office directly at 303.871.7720.

Do you offer any further discounts on tickets?

How will I know my ticket order has been filled?

You will be contacted within one week to confirm details of the ticket request.

Can I pay for my tickets at a later time?

Payment will be due within 30 days of the invoice date.

What should I do if I need to change or cancel my reservation?

Changes can be made up to 14 business days prior to the performance for group sizes less than 75. For groups larger than 75, changes must be made one month prior to the performance. Invoices will then be generated at this time, and schools will be responsible for payment based on the final order. After this time, no changes or refunds will be allowed.

Do you offer bus subsidies or help with transportation?

If you are a Denver Public Schools teacher requesting the field trip at least 15 student contact days ahead of time, you can email Kathy Thomas to request a bus scholarship.

Is there school bus parking and loading on site?

Yes, we have easily accessible bus loading and parking available. We will arrange details when confirming your ticket reservation.

Can our bus driver attend the performance?

The bus driver is welcome to attend the performance if they choose. Please include that number in the number of tickets you reserve.


All performances are wheelchair accessible and assisted listening devices are available. Please let us know in advance if your students will be requiring special seating, personal captioning devices, or any other assistance to make your visit more enjoyable. Your school must provide interpreters for deaf students, unless otherwise noted.

What if the weather is bad the day of the performance?

Only under very extreme circumstances will we cancel a performance. In the event that we cancel a performance, we will make every effort to schedule your students for a future performance.

What should my students bring?

  • Turn off all cell phones, watch alarms and any electronic devices before entering the theatre.
  • Food, gum, beverages and backpacks are not allowed in the theatre. We ask that these items be left at school or on the bus. We are NOT responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Teachers and chaperones should watch students at all times. Damage to the theatre, lobby or exterior will be billed in full back to the school.
