Celebrating the artistic achievements of the Western Hemisphere, the University of Denver’s Newman Center for the Performing Arts presents the YOA Orchestra of the Americas. Long supported by the Organization of American States, and with young musicians from throughout the Americas, the YOA will perform in Gates Concert Hall on Friday, July 9.
Twenty five young adult string musicians from 18 different nations in the Western Hemisphere celebrate the music of the Americas in a FREE concert at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts. This special orchestra includes three musicians from the Organization of American States’ Orchestra Program for Youth at Risk in the Caribbean.

The 2010 Biennial of the Americas is a fusion of art, culture and ideas from across the Western Hemisphere. Art exhibits, live music, cultural programming and roundtable discussions culminate in a citywide event throughout the month of July. It's one of the most exciting international events of 2010, and something you won't want to miss.
